Hey Diego!
Apple never claims to be the first to introduce or invent technologies that have existed for years. I’ve never understood why people seem to think they do that.
With the iPod, iPhone, iPad and perhaps the Apple Watch (lets wait and see), Apple has never been the first to launch a product in each respective category. But yet, they’ve managed to dominate and shape each one for the better.
They are very good at biding their time, and introducing technologies when they feel the market is ready for them. And when they finally do, they manage to do it in a way that makes consumers want to use them.
And yes, Apple’s devices often have inferior specifications to competitors. But at the same time, their devices often offer a much better user experience for many consumers.
It’s interesting that the comparison you linked to doesn’t seem to compare the ecosystem of apps available for each device – I’d argue that’s far more important than many of the internal components.
I’m just happy that we have the luxury of being able to choose devices from a number of different manufacturers now. Each one drives the other to make better products – including Apple.
And just for the record, I use a mixture of Android and Apple devices Image may be NSFW.
